Maybe I'm just not a cat person... But this story seems typical.

Maybe I'm an idiot, and I'm surely going to hell, but a one legged lady leaving a candle burning at all is pretty much equal to giving a child matches and leaving him/her unsupervised.
Anyone with any kind of animal knows they play, and knock crap over. Most of the time it doesn't burn the house down or kill anyone....but still.
When I had a cat, I threw out all of my candles. I've got both legs, but I realized kitty might knock one over and kill us all.
