Next Pope...

I was going to write about this too...though not from Malkin... but KH beat me to it... Anyway, I think this article is slightly better for discussing the potential next Pope.

I note that the average age of the candidates listed in the linked article is 69.5.

I wonder if instead of Race, they should go with age. Maybe they don't want to get stuck with a bad one.

Apparently, there is talk that an older Pope could be chosen as sort of like a transitional guy. On the earlier post regarding race, the Nigerian is considered in the top three choices. The other two candidates are from Europe, one from Germany the other from Italy. If the cardinals wish to be traditional, they would go with the Italian. John Paul II is the only Pope in more that 400 years that was not Italian.

I only know these things, because Bob and his co-worker discussed all of this stuff over the last few days, so I thought I would share what I know.

I am a Catholic and find the whole thing sad. He is truly a man to be remembered.
